NOTICE OF ELECTION FILING
Notice is hereby given that Gallatin School District No. R-V of Daviess County, State of Missouri, will hold an election on Tuesday, April 4, 2023, for the purpose of electing board members. There are 3 positions available with three-year terms.
Interested persons may file at the Superintendent’s office located at 602 South Olive Street, Gallatin, MO 64640. For more information contact Dr. Justin Collins at 660-663-2171.
Filing will begin on December 6, 2022, at 8:00 a.m. Filing will end on December 27, 2022, at 5:00 p.m. Filing will not occur on the following holidays and breaks when the school district’s central offices are closed: December 16, 2022, at 12:30 p.m. through December 26, 2022. In-between, candidates may file during the district’s regular business hours, which are Monday through Friday from 7:30 a.m. to 3:30 p.m. Please note these hours are subject to change. Filing will not occur on days that the school district’s central offices are closed due to inclement weather or other health-related issues. The central office will be open on the last day of filing, December 27, 2022, from 8:00 a.m. until 5:00 p.m. Candidates may obtain the official candidate filing packet of forms and instructions in advance from the Superintendent’s office. Candidates are encouraged to make an appointment by contacting Dr. Justin Collins, Superintendent at 660-663-2171 or jcollins@gallatin.k12.mo.us.

Board Minutes Budgets and Bills
Gallatin R-V is a participating member of the Missouri School Boards’ Association (MSBA) which is a private, not-for profit organization that exists to help local school boards succeed. MSBA serves as the unified voice of school board members throughout the state and provides board member training, comprehensive policy support, legal assistance, superintendent search guidance, and other services designed to allow school boards to put maximum resources in the classroom. MSBA’s Center for Education Safety is the only organization in Missouri supporting school safety and security.
School boards remain an essential institution to ensure that local communities are connected to their public schools. MSBA is the only organization in Missouri established by and governed by local school board members.
